Apologies for cross posting. The MOC Division is delighted to announce that Mary Ann Glynn is the recipient of the MOC Distinguished Scholar Award for 2017. Why post this on BPS's listserv? Mary Ann embodies the MOC Division's drive to be a bridge between different divisions of the Academy and to nurture research that spans levels of analysis, employees diverse methods, joins theoretical traditions, and opens exciting new territory for exploration. She has published in top management journals, as well as top journals in psychology and sociology. She seems to endlessly add new methods to her repertoire and seamlessly aligns these methods with exciting contexts. She has expanded theory on core topics to MOC and BPS including work on organizational identity, new industry creation and categorization, leadership, sensemaking, creativity, and collective intelligence, among others.
