    Faculty Position

    STRATEGY

     

    The Richard Ivey School of Business is Canada's premier business school and is recognized worldwide for the quality of its management education and research. Based in London, Canada, the School's major degree program activities include: a highly regarded MBA program and undergraduate program; a well-established doctoral program; as well as an Executive MBA delivered in Toronto and Hong Kong.  The School also has a large portfolio of executive education offerings delivered in London, Toronto and Hong Kong. The School is internationally oriented in terms of curricula, research, faculty, and student exchanges.

     

    The School seeks candidates for a probationary (tenure-track) Assistant Professor or tenured Associate or Professor appointment in the area of Strategy. The position is available to begin in July 2012. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D., or be close to completion, in Strategy or a related field and demonstrate a strong commitment to the practice of management in both research and teaching. Familiarity with the case method of teaching and the willingness to teach in Ivey's unique undergraduate (HBA) program is desirable. Non-tenured Limited Term or Visiting appointments will also be considered.

     

    The School supports high quality faculty research, especially research crossing discipline boundaries and aligned with one of the School's cross-enterprise centres. The four centres are in the areas of Emerging Markets, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Leading Cross-Enterprise and Building Sustainable Value (http://www.ivey.ca/cel/centres.htm). Excellence in teaching and course development is also highly valued.

     

    This position is subject to budget approval.
