W. P. Carey School of Business. The W. P. Carey School of Business at
Arizona State University is a comprehensive school of business offering
nationally and internationally respected undergraduate, masters and
doctoral programs. The Undergraduate Program, which houses one of the
country's few stand-alone business honors programs, is ranked 25th and
includes six majors ranked among the top 20 within their fields according
to U.S. News & World Report. The same publication ranks the W. P. Carey
MBA 29th. With roughly 160 tenure-track faculty, the W. P Carey School is
a research leader that maintains vibrant collaborative relationships with
business worldwide. For more information on the School, please see

Department of Management. The Department of Management is one of the
pillars of excellence that makes the W. P. Carey School distinctive. The
W. P. Carey School's management research productivity was recently ranked
third internationally in terms of publications in premier journals from
1997 to 2001. (See
http://www.kelley.indiana.edu/ardennis/rankings/.) This
is a dramatic improvement over the 21st place ranking reported in a
related article (Trieschman et al., 2001, AMJ) covering a previous time
period. These rankings validate a vision adopted nine years ago by ASU's
Department of Management to be recognized as a top 20 leader in research
and education that develops and promotes effective managerial practices.
The intellectual capacity represented by the climb in research rankings
has been translated into significant upgrading of our curriculum,
including a strong Ph.D. program.
