I found this press release about the Turnaround Management Association's business school student competition on corporate distress, financial restructuring and reorganization very interesting. The fact that only 19 papers competed was an aspect that caught my eye.

CHICAGO, Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Papers submitted by students from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and Columbia Business School in New York have been selected as the first place and second place winners respectively in the 2005 Carl Marks Student Paper Competition. This is the third year for this competition, created and administered by the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), to recognize outstanding student achievement in the field of corporate renewal. The 19 papers submitted were written by students enrolled an MBA program or equivalent business-related master's program at an accredited university. The winning papers were selected on the basis of their relevance to issues relating to corporate distress, financial restructuring and reorganization and quality of writing and analysis.
The cash prizes are funded by Carl Marks Advisory Group LLC in <st1:state w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">New York</st1:place></st1:state>. TMA provides travel and registration for one member of the 1st and 2nd place teams to the Annual Convention, October 18-21, 2005, at the Chicago Hilton & Towers. After the convention, the papers will be posted to the TMA Website at http://www.turnaround.org/about/awards.asp .
