For researchers on free, libre and open source software (FLOSS), I want to remind you of a unique opportunity to get feedback on your work in progress.
TIM, OCIS and BPS are co-sponsoring a research development research at the Academy of Management. The workshop will be held on Sunday, August 13, prior to this year's Academy meetings in Atlanta.
Rather than to make a presentation to a large group, the point of the workshop is to get developmental feedback from small group discussion led by a senior researcher. This format has been used successfully in the past at other workshops as a way to develop work in progress for journal submission.
The deadline for submissions is May 15. Submissions of work in progress are strongly encouraged; papers forthcoming or under the second round of review at a journal are not eligible.
Admission to the workshop is for accepted authors and co-authors. The workshop will be followed by a panel discussion on the current and future state of open source research.
Both sessions will be held at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, International A on the International Level.
Additional information on workshop submissions and the panel can be found at the URLs below, or by contacting either/both of the workshop co-chairs at
