    DOCTORAL STUDENT CONSORTIUM 2006

    ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT

    ATLANTA, 2006

The Technology and Innovation Management Division is now accepting
applications from Ph.D. students for its doctoral consortium to be
held at the Academy of Management meeting in Atlanta, on Friday,
August 11 and Saturday, August 12, 2006. The deadline for
    applications is April 1, 2006!

The TIM consortium is especially valuable for doctoral candidates
who are interested in conducting cutting-edge research and teaching
technology and innovation management. Students who have attended
other doctoral consortia but are interested in research and teaching
in this area are most welcome to apply.

The consortium will be conducted by a panel of outstanding faculty
members with proven research and teaching records, including Robert
Burgelman (Stanford), Mariann Jelinek (William and Mary), David Hsu
(Wharton), Ajay Agrawal (Toronto) and Kira Fabrizio (Emory). They
will address key issues in academic life such as how to (a) conduct
high-impact research, publish in top journals, publish your
dissertation, (b) manage research, teaching, and institutional
demands, and (c) obtain funding for your research. Arvids Ziedonis
(University of Michigan) and Paul Bierly (James Madison University)
are the organizers of the consortium this year.

Only electronic applications will be considered. To apply, please
send a Curriculum Vita along with a one-page statement containing
the following information: (1) your full contact information, (2)
your stage in the doctoral program, (3) the name of your thesis
advisor and one additional reference, and (4) A 100-word abstract or
