Position Summary
The Department of Management and Organizations, within the Eller College of Management, is seeking candidates to fill a tenure-track position in Organization Theory/Strategy at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Start date will be in August of 2007.
The Department of Management and Organizations is a top-25 department and recognized center of innovative research with a strong culture of studying management from social science perspectives. Faculty interests include such topics as judgment and decision-making, organizational behavior, human resource management, organizational justice, and strategic alliances and networks. The department has recently dedicated hiring to building a first-rate strategy group.

Job Duties
Faculty perform scholarly research, publish in academic journals, teach in Undergraduate, Master's and Ph.D. programs, train and mentor doctoral students, advise students at all levels, and serve the university through various committee assignments. Faculty also provide outreach to the local community. In addition, executive program teaching is available.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include: (1) a Ph.D. degree from a program in Management, Organizational Theory, Strategy, or a related field, (2) a proven record of research accomplishments, and (3) evidence of effective teaching. It is expected that the candidate will have completed their doctoral degree by the start date.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with an emphasis in macro-organizational theory and strategy are especially encouraged to apply. Preferred candidates will be able to connect with and broaden the department's and college's current expertise in such topics as:
· Strategic alliances and networks
· Corporate/entrepreneurial strategy
· Corporate governance and top management teams
· Innovation and technology management
· Any area of strategic management with demonstrated research potential
