Assistant Professor in Strategic Management
Department of Business Administration
The Department of Business Administration is inviting applications for a tenure track position in Strategic Management with an interest in International Business at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates must have completed or anticipate completing a Ph.D. on or before September 1, 2008. Candidates who have completed their degree and who have some experience in rank as assistant professor are especially encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of publication in the top strategic management and/or international business journals (e.g., SMJ, AMJ, ASQ, JIBS), be pursuing a nationally visible research program, and have evidence of highly effective teaching in both graduate and undergraduate courses. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in strategic management and international business courses at the MBA and undergraduate levels. The typical teaching load is two classes per semester, with excellent support for research, including a one semester third-year research sabbatical, laboratory facilities, on-line library and database resources (i.e., WRDS), and college and university research grants.

The <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Lerner</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">College</st1:placetype></st1:place> supports a full- and part-time on-campus MBA program (all evening sessions) in addition to Executive MBA and non-degree executive education programs. All degree programs are fully accredited by the AACSB. The <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Lerner</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">College</st1:placetype></st1:place> is housed in a two-building complex with state-of-the-art computing and teaching facilities.
