    Dear Colleagues:

I am finalizing a meta-analysis on the relation between organizational reputation and performance (both financial and non-financial). I believe I have captured all the published quantitative studies on this topic, but I would also like to include unpublished works if they are out there.

If you know of a similar meta-analysis or any unpublished studies on organizational reputation and performance, I would appreciate your sending them to me at alh21@psu.edu.

I will be happy to share the results of the completed meta-analysis with anyone who asks.

Thank you for your consideration of this request.

    Sincerely,

    Aimee,

This paper deals with corporate social responsibility and performance.  Part of the social responsibility measure was reputation in a variety of areas:

Blackburn, V. L., Doran, B. M. and Shrader, C. B.,  Investigating the dimensions of social responsibility and the consequences for corporate financial performance, Journal of Managerial Issues, Vol. VI, No. 2, Summer 1994, pp. 195-212.

    Good luck with your meta-analysis.

    Hi Aimee

I have been working with the Australian Bureau of Statistics Business Longitudinal Survey. It has very robust financial performance data available (just about any accounting measure you would choose). On the reputation side, there is data on marketing spend in years 1,3 and 4 (so you could look at lagged and/or cumulative effects) as proxies. It is a bit old (1998-1998).

If this information would be useful, let me know and what format you would like the data in.

    Regards

    John
