    Subject: Tenure-track Assistant professorship at
    University of
    Cambridge

Assistant Professor (tenure-track) Vacancy at the
    Judge Business
    School,
    University of Cambridge.

Job Title: Lecturer (Assistant Prof) in
    Strategy/Organization Theory

    The Strategy and Marketing Group

The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic and
extremely Promising but as yet small Strategy and
Marketing group at a world-class university
    (www.jbs.cam.ac.uk). The group consists of
    predominantly young, enthusiastic, and motivated
scholars in marketing, strategy, organization theory
and international business. Group members are
publishing in leading international journals across
areas as diverse as strategic alliances, product
innovation and diffusion, institutional theory, doing
business in China, corporate reputation, and customer
    service quality.

The group is international with members from
Australia, China, France, Greece, Pakistan, Malaysia,
The Netherlands, Switzerland and the United
Kingdom. Members have extensive research networks with
academics from other leading institutions throughout
North America and the rest of the world. The
department enjoys frequent visits (ranging from a few
days to several months) from world class scholars.

Members of the Strategy and Marketing group also work
    with some of the
    world's leading organisations whether through
collaborative research or in an executive education
    capacity. Cambridge's location in close
proximity to London and at the same time at the centre
of 'Silicon Fen', Europe's fastest growing
    technology-based industrial centres, gives
unprecedented access to large multi nationals and to
hundreds of smaller entrepreneurial organisations in
    emerging industries. In addition, the
    interdisciplinarity that characterizes research at
Cambridge ensures faculty contact across a wide range
of departments and expertise, thus promoting
    cross-fertilisation of ideas.

    The Role

The successful candidate will be expected to
    contribute to teaching
Courses related to Strategy as required to the
undergraduate, MPhil, MBA and PhD programmes. Project
administration and dissertation supervision is also
    expected.

The teaching load of lecturers at Judge Business
    School tends to be
Light typically 70 hours of formal classroom contact
    or equivalent per
annum). This allows faculty to spend the majority of
their time on research. All lecturers are expected to
carry out some (not too onerous)administrative duties
    in due course.

The University of Cambridge is a research-led

academic staff are expected to contribute
    substantially to research by
publishing work of high intellectual standard.
    Candidates should either
already have Ph.Ds or should be close to finishing it.
Even in the latter case, evidence of intellectual
excellence will still be an important criterion of

course, that any such outside commitments must not
