Please make your plans to attend the 20th Annual Gateway Entrepreneurship
Research Conference at Saint Louis University, St. Louis, MO, March 5-7,
2009. This is a uniquely styled conference that fosters
lively group discussions following the keynote address given by a prominent
scholar in the field.
The 2009 conference explores the exciting possibility and
implications of re-framing entrepreneurship as a science of
the artificial rather than as a natural or social science, thus
considering entrepreneurship research as an endeavor to
study the making, as well as the finding of valuable new
opportunities, ventures and markets.
The keynote address will be given by Dr. Saras D. Sarasvathy,
Associate Professor in the Darden Graduate Business School
at the University of Virginia. Dr. Sarasvathy is a leading
scholar on the cognitive basis for high-performance entrepreneurship
and was named one of the top 18 entrepreneurship
professors by Fortune Small Business Magazine in
2007.
