    Our search for an assistant/associate continues. Interested candidates

    Position Announcement
    Assistant I Associate Professor of Management

    Position: The Department of Management in the College of Business at
    Auburn University in Auburn, AL, anticipates an opening for a tenure
    track Assistant/Associate Professor in strategic management for Fall
    Semester, 2009.

    Qualifications: A doctorate in management with a
    concentration/specialty in strategy is required for appointment at the
    Assistant Professor level. ABDs scheduled to receive their PhD by
    August, 2009, will be considered, but appointment would be contingent
    upon awarding of the PhD by date of hire. For appointment at the
    Associate level, in addition to a doctorate and specialty in the
    specified areas, strong research credentials are required. Previous
    industry experience and evidence of strong teaching ability is desired

    The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet
    eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time
    appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the
    proposed term of employment; excellent communication skills required.

    Responsibilities: Successful applicants will be expected to maintain a
    productive research program, as well as contribute to the service and
    outreach needs of the department. Teaching at both the graduate and
    undergraduate levels is anticipated, including participation in the
    Ph.D. program and the MBA program. Teaching in various distance learning
    programs would also be available.

    land-grant and research institution blending arts and applied sciences.
    Enrollment is approximately 24,000. The town of Auburn is a small,
    friendly university town located on the beautiful plains of eastern
    Alabama. Auburn enjoys a warm and sunny climate with mild winters. It
    has excellent health, primary and secondary education and recreational
    facilities.

    The Department of Management consists of 27 faculty members. Faculty
    members serve as associate editors and editorial board members for
    journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management
    Review, Journal of Management, Organizational Research Methods, and
    Journal of International Business Studies. Our research regularly
    appears in the same caliber of outlets.

    October, 2008, and will continue until a qualified candidate is selected
