Dear Colleague:
The purpose of this email is to inform you that we are still seeking qualified applicants for fall 2009 admission for our Ph.D. Program in Organizations & Strategy. The program trains students for careers as researchers and teachers at major research universities. Course requirements include Ph.D. seminars that cover research concerning organizational theory, macro organizational behavior, overview of strategic management, managing the strategic process, and contemporary and global issues in strategic management. In addition, each student completes a set of research methods courses as well as courses in an outside, but complementary area. Ph.D. students will collaborate closely with our faculty on research projects, regular research colloquia, and activities associated with the Academy of Management meetings. Of note, the program is set up for students to complete their Ph.D. in four years. During this time, students are eligible for substantial funding via research and teaching assistantships. Our hope is that if you know of outstanding students who are interested in pursuing a Ph.D., you might suggest the University of Tennessee as a viable option.
