The next Industry Studies Annual Conference will be held on May 28-29, 2009, in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Chicago</st1:city>, <st1:state w:st="on">IL</st1:state></st1:place>. The "Call for Papers and Symposia" is attached. Abstracts for papers and symposia may be submitted on-line via the conference website: http://www.industrystudies.pitt.edu/chicago09/. The deadline for abstract submissions is December 1, 2008.
The 2009 conference program will include competitively selected organized symposia as well as individual papers. It will also feature a plenary sessions and an awards dinner.
We want to build on the very successful experience of our 2008 conference, in which the quality of papers was high and the discussions were rich. Contributions from all disciplines within this community will be critical to our success.
On behalf of this year's program committee, we look forward to your involvement in next year's conference. We encourage you to talk to your colleagues about participating and to distribute the Call for Papers and Symposia as widely as possible.
