The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in Entrepreneurship or closely related field. Rank for the position is open. Entry level candidates must be near completion of their PhD. Ability to teach marketing or international business is an asset.

The successful candidate will be part of an entrepreneurial faculty group currently envisioning and implementing the transition from a department of business to a School of Business, supported by significant funding ($12M). The central priorities of the new Leder School of Business are Accounting/Finance, Entrepreneurship, Global Educational Experience, Sustainability, and Distance Education.

The candidate will be expected to teach entrepreneurship but also be entrepreneurial in the development and growth of the Leder School of Business. She or he will be involved especially in developing our capacity for both domestic and international entrepreneurship (including base of the pyramid). This will include social/environmental purpose organizations as well as for-profit businesses designed to contribute to human flourishing.

The candidate will also be expected to engage in a program of research. We accept a variety of scholarly engagement as articulated by Boyer, including scholarship of discovery, scholarship of integration, scholarship of application, and scholarship of pedagogy. Scholarship of application may include professional consulting. The position offers flexibility in combining professional activities with responsibilities for teaching and scholarship.

Finally, and importantly, the candidate is expected to develop and articulate a Christian perspective on her or his discipline and on business more generally, addressing the role that beliefs have in shaping its theory and practice. The successful candidate will be committed to a faith-based and interdisciplinary approach to business education in a Christian liberal arts university.

Deadline for applications is November 15, 2014. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but priority will be given to those submitted by the deadline.
