Paper proposal submission deadline: November 1, 2008
Dear Colleagues:
Hope you had a great summer break and that you're energized for the current academic year. As always, our best wishes for your academic/ professional success and your good health.
Listed below are some items of interest:
1. November 1, 2008 -- Submission deadline of proposals for the 9th Annual Conference in Waikiki, Hawaii, April 9-12, 2009. Please submit each proposal -- about 250 words separately for papers, workshops, seminars, etc... to conference@iaeb.org and (cc to: adm@iaeb.net ) with subject line "Proposal 2009."(Details on our websites: www.iaeb.org and www.iaeb.info.)
In your proposal you should provide an overview of your paper, outlining your specific title, background materials, research problem/objective, methodology, major findings and so forth. Please provide each author's name, organizational affiliation, email, etc.
2. Once again, several outstanding conference papers and student papers will be selected for awards..
3. As in the past, all conference selected submissions will be considered for publication in theE-Business Review, Volume XI, (ISSN1550-7793) (ISBN 0-9707955-8-0).(Hard-copy and/or electronic copy) Also, authors will be invited to submit for consideration an expanded/revised version of their papers for publication in the Journal of E-Business; (ISSN 1542-0846);www.journalofe-business.org, based on the comments received at the conference. Please note that both of these IAEB publications are peer-reviewed (refereed), highly acclaimed and listed in several sources.
4. Our conference will be at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort and Spa in Honolulu, Hawaii - a luxury hotel right on the world famous WaikikiBeach. This is one of the very few resorts on the beach. We have negotiated excellent rates for you and your family - starting @US$198 for single/double per night.
5. For our student competition, please contact Professor Nitish Singh at St. LouisUniversity. (His e-mail: ncsingh72@gmail.com ) Nitish recently moved from California.
6. We're trying to get good discounted airfares for our conference participants. Once we've selected our official airline partner, we will let you know, hopefully, before the end of December.
7. Please inform your colleagues who may be interested in e-business know about our organization, its mission and activities. There are no membership dues. We invite well qualified individuals to serve on our Editorial Board as a reviewer of papers and articles; interested individuals should send us an e-mail at adm@iaeb.net - preferably with the subject heading "Reviewer- Editorial Board" and a brief outline of academic, research and scholarly accomplishments. Once again, we wish you good luck. Please don't forget to make your plans for this Hawaii conference. In addition to a variety of intellectual and scholarly activities, you will have an opportunity to enjoy the "paradise" and its outstanding hospitality and entertainment. There should be plenty to do for you as well as your family - including children.
Incidentally, we are looking into the possibility of a golf game (or a tournament just for fun) for everyone - including amateurs/beginners like some of us.
