2007 OMT JUNIOR FACULTY CONSORTIUM
August 3-5, 2007
The OMT division is pleased to present the annual OMT Junior Faculty
workshop. If you hold an assistant professor rank (or its equivalent),
this professional development workshop is for you. The workshop tries to
make available the knowledge that you need to prosper in both the local
and global academic environment. The workshop focuses on strategies for
impact as a scholar and teacher, as well as on building a career in
diverse professional settings. In the workshop, you will have a chance to
interact with an exciting team of workshop Fellows through panels,
discussion and informal talk, and to meet many other peers early in their
careers.
The roster of Fellows for the 2007 Workshop includes:
* Christina Ahmadjian (Hitotsubashi University)
* Diane Burton (MIT)
* Lisa Cohen (London Business School)
* Tina Dacin (Queen's University)

The workshop will be held just prior to the Academy of Management meetings
in Philadelphia, from Friday August 3rd at 6pm through Sunday August 5th
at 11:30 am.
On Sunday, you will meet the editors from some of the leading journals in
the field including Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management
Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Science, Journal
of Management Studies, Strategic Management Journal, and Strategic
Organization to gain insights and tips for publishing in the top journals
in our field.
There is limited enrollment to ensure that Fellows and participants have
ample time to interact in formal and informal settings. We expect 35-40
new faculty participants and the 18 Fellows. You are more than welcome to
self-nominate, but we also encourage deans, department chairs, former
workshop alumni and other senior faculty to suggest this workshop to
junior faculty whom they think would benefit from the experience.
To apply, send a nomination letter (or self-nomination) that includes the
following:
1. Name and address with current mail and e-mail addresses, telephone and
fax numbers, as well as institutional affiliation
2. A 1-page description of your current research interests that will
serve as your introduction to the other participants.
3. Your curriculum vitae.
4. Apply as soon as possible as space is limited, but no later than May
19, 2006.
5. Accepted participants will be required to pay $100.00 USD to defer the
