The Management Department at Texas Christian University invites
applications for the Luther Henderson Chair. We are seeking candidates who
have distinguished records of scholarly accomplishment and clear potential
for enhancing the Neeley School’s reputation in the area of strategic
management. The Chair holder will be expected to produce high quality
research, to be involved in collaborative research efforts with other
Neeley School faculty, and to enhance the Neeley School’s reputation for
scholarship with external audiences.

The University has approximately 8,200 FTE graduate and undergraduate
students, with approximately 2,100 students enrolled in the Neeley
School. The Neeley School, which is located in one of the nation’s top
communities for business growth, is recognized as a premier business
school by major publications. The Neeley School’s BBA and MBA programs
have been ranked in the top 50 by Business Week and the Wall Street
Journal, respectively, for several years. In the past year members of the
department have published or had papers accepted in the Journal of Applied
Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Academy
of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of

Requirements:
Candidates for the position should possess an earned doctorate in business
with an emphasis in strategy or a closely related area. Expectations for
the position include strong evidence of distinguished scholarly
accomplishment, which is reflected by publication in leading academic
journals, and significant visibility in the national and international
academic communities. Teaching responsibilities will primarily involve
EMBA and MBA courses in strategy. Evidence of a strong record of
excellence in teaching is essential. The salary range is competitive for
an endowed chair.
