    Visiting Professor/Full Time Adjunct Professor of Strategy

    School of Economics & Business Administration

     

    Saint Mary's College of California seeks a full time Visiting/Adjunct Professor (non tenure-track) for academic year of 2012-2013.

      

    Responsibilities

     

    The faculty member will teach capstone strategy course and courses in global and international business at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The ideal candidate also possesses the ability to teach in the area of the management of technology and innovation. Instruction assignments at Saint Mary's College of California in Moraga, Ca. include courses at off-site locations in San Francisco, Silicon Valley and San Ramon, as well as occasional teaching in a technology-intensive hybrid EMBA environment  at the home campus. All Saint Mary's full-time faculty are expected to advise their students and to contribute to the mission of the College, which is informed, animated and expressed through its Catholic, Lasallian and Liberal Arts traditions.

     

    Qualifications

     

    Candidates must have an earned doctorate in strategic management or a closely related field and meet the academic qualification standards of the School. The key criteria for being considered academically qualified are presented below:

     

    The attainment of a doctorate within the last five years in a field directly or at least closely related to the subject matter of the course described above.

     

                                        OR

     

    Possession of a doctorate in a field directly or at least closely related to the subject matter of the course described above along with at least two peer-reviewed published intellectual contributions over the past five years. These publications are required to have been subjected to an external review process either by academic peers or by editors who apply similar criteria. An intellectual contribution can be in the form of a refereed journal article or case, a scholarly book, chapters in a scholarly book, or a textbook.

     

     

    Salary & Benefits

     

    Salary is competitive with other non-profit higher education institutions and commensurate with qualifications, experience, budget and internal equity considerations. Rank and placement will be determined by demonstrated evidence of teaching, research, and scholarship.
