    Colleagues:

I edit the Strategic Management series (and the Corporate Governance series,
along with Kenneth Merchant at USC) for Business Expert Press (BEP) and am
always looking for new book proposals. While most of our books are stylized
based on an author's particular area of expertise, I am also on the lookout
for book proposals from faculty capable and interested in authoring short
books of the essentials of strategy formulation, strategy implementation,
    and organization design.

Our books offer concise distillations of leading edge business practices in
a form accessed by executives and used in executive education programs
around the globe. Recent releases include "Sustainable Business" (Nancy
Landry and Sandra Edwards), "Knowledge Management" (Arnold Kransdorff),
"Building Strategy and Performance through Time" (Kim Warren), and "A
Leader's Guide to Knowledge Management" (John & JoAnn Girard). Forthcoming
titles include "Mergers and Acquisitions: Turmoil in Top Management Teams"
(Jeffrey Krug) and "Positive Management" (Jack Walters). Take a look at BEP
online (www.businessexpertpress.com) or contact me or our editor David
Parker directly if you have an interest in joining our author team.

    Warm regards, Mason

    Dear Mason,
With the growing concern surrounding pandemic planning and crisis
management, I would value the opportunity to author a book on strategic
    crisis communications and management.
I have developed a predictive model of crisis preparedness and have
just finished an 8-month national study of 7500 Canadians' perceptions
of Canada's largest food product crisis -- which in my humble opinion
has replaced the Tylenol example as the gold standard for crisis
    management and communications.
Furthermore, I have 20 years of strategic crisis management consulting
experience -- prior life to the academy with clients in the chemical
industry, the military and consumer products.

I would be pleased to further this concept with you.

    Thanks,
    Terry

    Dear Mason,

Because a lot of my work focusses on applied research, I always have an interest in publications that aim at bridging the gap between academics and practitioners.

Would a book on business models be considered as suitable in a seires like this?

    Best wishes,
    Erwin
