    Apologies for cross postings.

The Department of Organization and Strategy of Tilburg University invites
applications for multiple tenure track positions. These positions are to be
filled at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are able to hire applicants
starting in any month during 2010.

The Department of Organization and Strategy of Tilburg University is part of
the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. It currently consists
of 21 tenured or tenure track faculty members and 8 lecturers. Full time
full professors of the Department include Jean-Francois Hennart, Xavier
Martin, Niels Noorderhaven, Tal Simons and Bart Vos. Part time full
professors include Geert Duysters, Bart Nooteboom and Hans Pennings (also of
the Wharton School). The Department also employs a vibrant group of junior
faculty. The department faculty work in the following research areas:
strategic management, international management, operations management,
management and organization theory, innovation management and
entrepreneurship. They are drawn from leading universities in the United
States, Asia and Europe. The Department has a very strong research
orientation. The Department is involved with several research institutes,
including the Center for Innovation Research that it recently co-founded.

The Department is involved in three bachelor programs, three MSc programs,
an MPhil program and a PhD-program. All programs except one of the bachelor
programs are taught in English. Non-Dutch-speaking candidates will be asked
to teach in English only. The standard working language of the Department is
    English.

Further information about the Department is available on
    http://www.tilburguniversity.nl/faculties/feb/organisation/dept/os/

We aim to maximize the research time available to active faculty, and
working conditions are otherwise comparable to major research universities
in the United States and Europe. The standard teaching load is two courses
plus guidance of five master thesis projects. Compensation is competitive
with comparable schools, and we provide support for conferences and other
    research related expenses.

Tilburg University is one of Europe's leading universities in the fields of
economics and business administration - indeed it regularly ranks among
Europe's top 3 by research productivity. Tilburg is a pleasant city located
in the Southern Netherlands, in the middle of one of Europe's foremost
high-tech regions and equidistant from Amsterdam (Netherlands), Brussels
(Belgium) and the Dusseldorf/Cologne area (Germany).

The application deadline is October 1, 2009. Applicants should submit (1) a
curriculum vitae, (2) a research statement and (as relevant) a dissertation
summary, (3) examples of research, and (4) evidence of teaching ability
(which may include a teaching statement). In addition they should ask three
referees to send a letter of reference. Applications and letters of

deadline will be considered if the positions are not filled. Applicants are
expected to have completed the doctoral thesis prior to taking up
employment. Any further questions relating to the positions can be directed
to Sytse Douma, Head of the Department Organization and Strategy of Tilburg
    University at s.w.douma@uvt.nl.
