  • 1.  Emerging Markets Course/Books

    I have been teaching an MBA elective on "competing in emerging markets" for the last two years, and am looking for ideas on course content and books from others who may also be teaching such a course -- for possible revision of my own course. I would welcome hearing from list members who may have some suggestions for me.

    I am focused on Latin America and if by competing in emerging markets at some stage managing land leading people will be an issue, some of my work may be of use to segments of your course.     Below my signature you will find a couple of links. There is also a paper recently (Jan 2010) published by Thunderbird IBR on corporate leadership as preferred by Brazilians vis-à-vis foreigners.

    For a panoramic view of Latin America Reid´s Forgotten Continent by Yale would provide a lot to think of, at least from a conservative perspective.
