    The Department of Management at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst would like to formally announce that it is seeking applicants for a tenure track position in strategic management beginning September 2011.  The position is at the assistant professor level; experienced assistants are welcome to apply.  Candidates should have, or be in the process of completing, a Ph.D. in strategic management or a related field, and possess capabilities for strong scholarly research and teaching.  Applicants should provide hard copies of the following: (1) a vita summarizing education, publication record, service, and professional experience; (2) samples of scholarly writing; and (3) a list of courses taught, syllabi and teaching evaluations.  The preferred deadline for applying is November 19, 2010, but applications will be accepted until a suitable candidate is found.

    The Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts offers programs at the doctoral, masters, and undergraduate levels.  Faculty will be expected to teach basic and advanced courses at one or more of these levels.  Evidence of successful university or college teaching experience, both on ground and online, is desired.  Besides being excellent in teaching, candidates should have strong commitment to scholarly research that will be published in top journals in management and/or other allied disciplines.  Other responsibilities may include supervision of thesis and dissertation research, and departmental/school/university service as required. 

     

    Salary is competitive.   This position is contingent on final funding approval.
