William D. Hacker Chair Professor of Management
    Thunderbird School of Global Management
    1 Global Place
    Glendale, AZ 85306.
    USA.

Thunderbird School of Global Management has an opening for a visiting position in Strategic Management.  The candidate we seek will have a PhD in strategic management and demonstrated evidence of superior teaching abilities in MBA, MS and/or EMBA programs. Our strong preference is for a candidate with a well-established track record of full-time teaching experience and business experience, especially the ability to relate to a challenging global audience. Depending on our projected teaching needs, the visiting position may be structured either as a one or two-year assignment.  We would prefer a candidate with a strong global orientation demonstrated either through a track record of teaching in global institutions and/or programs outside the US, or a strong research orientation geared to global topics.

Thunderbird, a top-ranked International Business graduate program, is a private, nonprofit graduate school with over 1,000 full-time students.  Located in Glendale, Arizona, Thunderbird also has operations and programs in locations around the world, including Geneva, Moscow, Prague, and Shanghai. The Management faculty includes David Bowen, Andrew Inkpen, Mary Teagarden, Caren Siehl, Christine Pearson, Kannan Ramaswamy, Mary Sully de Luque, Andreas Schotter, and Nathan Washburn.

The position will offer a competitive compensation package commensurate with the teaching responsibilities at similar top tier institutions.  The Glendale campus is ideally located in the Southwest of the country in close proximity to other metropolitan centers such as San Diego and Los Angeles.  The Greater Phoenix area is among the youngest metropolitan regions in the country with a diverse population, wonderful mix of cultural activities, and a really wide range of outdoor activities that define an ideal destination with a high quality of living.

Applicants are requested to electronically submit a current vita, plus evidence of excellence in teaching. We will contact you for additional information after we have a chance to assess the potential fit between our teaching needs and your profile.
