    Vacancy at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (Université libre de Bruxelles) : Daniel Janssen Chair in Corporate Social Responsibility

     

    The Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) is one of the leading research universities in continental Europe. The ULB Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (SBS-EM) invites applications for a full-time position in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) endowed by Daniel Janssen, former CEO and President of Solvay S.A. and former Chair of the School's Advisory Board. The School, a newly merged entity which brings together its former Economics Department and Solvay Business School, combines strong teaching programs with active research in the field of management at its research centre Centre Emile Bernheim.

    Required qualifications : Ph. D. in Management or related disciplines. Moreover, the candidate will be expected to have scientific expertise in the field of CSR certified by publications in high quality international journals. The applicant will be fluent in English. Knowledge of French is a plus.

    Profile: full-time professor position participating in the supervision of students (teaching, supervision of undergraduate and Ph.D. students) and in the research activities of SBS-EM. The total workload will include courses in CSR at the BA and MA levels and in the executive Master programs of the SBS-EM. The applicant will contribute to the academic international visibility of ULB and SBS-EM. The position is endowed for a first term of 5 years. It can start as of January 1, 2011.
