Dear All
Colin Eden and myself are running a PDW on the Saturday that is jointly sponsored by the BPS Interest group. It is called "Collecting, Developing, and Using Group Cognition" and includes aspects of using group cognition for strategy making in practice. In particular it aims to show how group causal maps can be used to help management teams in negotiating agreements with respect to the solution of messy problems, and helping management teams develop strategy I have enclosed an outline of the proposal.
The reason for contacting you all is because the PDW demonstrates a group support system that enables a 'hands-on' experience of an innovative system for collecting, developing and using group cognition through the development of causal maps - typically used to facilitate strategy negotiation in TMTs - and our intention is that this will enable the PDW to be interactive. However, in order for this to work we need participants i.e. you to bring along a laptop with wifi and running internet explorer. Clearly you need to know this in advance!
I really hope we will see you at the session which in on Saturday 12:00pm - 2:00pm in the La Quinta Inn & Suites: Fiesta F
Best wishes
