I am writing to inform you that the Entrepreneurship (ENT) Division has recently increased its social media presence to enhance both leader-to-member and member-to-member communications. ENT Division members now have the following four social media options:
AoMConnect
The Academy of Management set up a site within AoMConnect with resources for Entrepreneurship Division members. You can find Academy-related resources and discuss research-in-progress with colleagues. After logging on to AoMConnect http://apps.aomonline.org/connect/?redirectUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fconnect.aomonline.org with your last name and Academy member ID, look under the "My Groups" tab for a link to the Division's site.
Facebook
The ENT Division also now has a Facebook site at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Entrepreneurship-Division-Academy-of-Management/158682417576939. This site will have information related to current research and practitioner developments. You can also share comments and pictures of Divisional events on this site. If you have a Facebook account, I would ask you to please "like" this site...when we reach 25 likes (we currently have 13), the ugly numbers ("15868...) should drop off our URL.
Twitter
This site has updates about the ENT Division, as well as links to news about research and practice. Examples of posts include calls for papers, awards deadlines, newly published research, current events in practice, and education-related news. Follow this Twitter feed at https://twitter.com/#!/ENT_Div_AoM.
LinkedIn
The ENT Division now has a members-only group on LinkedIn. If you have a LinkedIn account, find it at http://www.linkedin.com/groups?viewMembers=&gid=4289160&sik=1328536362455. This site is useful for posting announcements as well as having threaded discussions about research ideas.
I am also currently working on setting up a Google+ account, but this action is pending as I await an appeal on the name of the group. Currently, despite creating a separate log-in, it comes up under my name, but I am trying to change it to Entrepreneurship Division. Google+ doesn't seem to like this, but I'll keep you posted as the appeal progresses.
In sum, please use the sites that are most familiar/comfortable to you and please post comments/information. The value of these networks increases positively with both membership and participation.
