    VISITING POSITION - STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT 

     

    The Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Visiting Assistant Professor/Visiting Instructor for the 2011/2012 Academic Year to teach Strategic Management. This appointment may commence in August of 2011 or in January of 2012 and includes possible teaching opportunities in the Summer Semester 2012.

     

    Candidates should hold a PhD or be ABD in the appropriate field from an AACSB - accredited school (or a similarly accredited international school) and be able to teach capstone undergraduate and/or MBA business strategy courses in the Fall and Spring Semesters.   There are also opportunities to teach one or two sections in the Summer Semester of 2012.

    The Department of Managerial Sciences at the Robinson College of Business has an opening for a visiting faculty member to teach Strategic Management at the undergraduate level beginning August 2016.  Individuals who might be interested in this position would include, but not be limited to, doctoral students who are ABD and looking for opportunities to enhance their teaching portfolios, individuals whose timing was off and who missed the job market this year but have graduated and are looking for opportunities to support themselves during the next hiring cycle, or individuals further along in the tenure-track or in their careers who are looking for opportunities to remain active in the profession as they contemplate their next move. 

     

    The position includes a 3-course teaching load per semester, private office and full department staff support.  Employment will begin in August 2017, and run through Spring 2018.  The department anticipates hiring new faculty members in strategic management during the academic year (pending budgetary approval) and visitors with completed PhDs, or who will have completed their PhDs by August 2018, will be welcome to apply.
