    Saint Mary's College of California invites applications for a tenure-track (at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank) or visiting faculty position in Management of Technology and Innovation, starting in the 2013-2014 academic year. 


    Responsibilities:

     

    The faculty member will teach courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels in Management of Technology and Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Management of Creativity and Innovation, and a secondary field. Teaching may also include college wide programs such as Collegiate Seminar and January Term.  The successful candidate will join a collegial community that values and supports cutting-edge research and scholarly contributions. Teaching assignments at Saint Mary's College of California include courses at the on-site location in Moraga and may include teaching at off-site locations in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and San Ramon. All Saint Mary's faculty are expected to advise students and to contribute to the mission of the College, which is informed, animated, and expressed through its Catholic, Lasallian, and liberal arts traditions.

    The successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in a business discipline or a closely related field, before commencing his or her academic appointment. The candidate must demonstrate the ability or potential to conduct and publish high quality research in respected academic journals and to teach, advise, and mentor a culturally and educationally diverse student body; appreciation of and deep respect for the learning/teaching environment and for the students, staff, and faculty who comprise it and the willingness to become a stakeholder in the Lasallian commitment to that environment; demonstrated commitment and success working in a diverse and multicultural community. Candidates who have demonstrated research or teaching interests in global and/or responsible business issues are highly encouraged to apply.
