The D¹Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University invites
applications for a tenure track
Assistant or Associate Professor in the International Business and
Strategy Group of the School, with employment beginning in 2014-15.
Candidates must have a doctorate degree in Strategic Management,
International Business, International Management or a closely related
business field by the start date.
Candidates close to doctoral
dissertation defense are welcome to apply.
Candidates to be considered for the position of Associate Professor will
be expected to demonstrate an appropriate record of scholarly achievement
that includes publication in top journals such as the Academy of
Management Journal, the Academy of Management Review, the Journal of
International Business Studies, the Strategic Management Society or
academic journals of a similar national/international
reputation in their field of specialty.
Candidates to be considered for the position of Assistant Professor will
be expected to demonstrate an appropriate record of scholarly achievement
that demonstrates the potential of publication in top journals such as
those described above. Salary is dependent on qualifications.
Support for
faculty research is broad and can be in the form of summer funding,
teaching release time, data base acquisition, research assistants, and
travel funds for research and conferences. Research fellowships are
available on a competitive basis. Assistance in acquiring external funding
is also available.
All candidates are expected to provide evidence of excellence in teaching.
The primary teaching needs of the School are at both the undergraduate
and graduate level. All candidates will be expected to engage in service
appropriate to their rank.
The International Business and Strategy Group is fully committed to the
School¹s strategic research foci on global business, innovation and
corporate governance as well as the University¹s strategic initiatives in
multidisciplinary research in healthcare, sustainability, security and
business analytics. The applicants will be ranked according to evidence of
scholarly research and publications, teaching
background, professional organization prominence, and/or industry
expertise related to the above strategic goals.
