Program Session #20
Friday, Aug. 9 8:00 am - 11:30 am, breakfast available prior to session
WDW Yacht & Beach Club Resort, Grand Harbor Salon I
A 4-part, multi-method workshop for new and experienced teachers:
1. Best practices marketplace: share and gather lots of ideas for new materials and approaches in a dynamic forum
2. Keynote speech: hear Jose de la Torre talk about challenges and opportunities in IM teaching, then participate in a town meeting
3. Small group discussions: work with co-participants and experts to develop strategies for these concerns
4. Advice from outstanding educators: take away insights and tips from all previous IM Division Outstanding Educator Award winners-Harry Lane, John Daniels, Joyce Osland, and Paul Beamish
Additional presenters: Steve Weiss, Ruth Alas, Anabella Davila, Sebastian Reiche, and Katherine Xin
