Call for Nominations
Editor-in-Chief, Organization Science
Nomination deadline: August 25, 2013
Daniel A. Levinthal will complete his term as editor-in-chief of the
INFORMS journal Organization Science on December 31, 2013. Based on
recommendations from the INFORMS Publications Committee, the president of
INFORMS has appointed a committee to conduct a search for the next editor-
in-chief. The committee intends to propose a candidate for approval by
INFORMS at their fall meeting.
All members of INFORMS and the Organization Science community are invited
to participate in this process. The committee seeks opinions on the
current state of the journal as well as suggestions and nominations of
candidates for editor-in-chief.
Qualifications for the editor-in-chief of Organization Science include,
foremost, a demonstrated interest in a broad range of topics in
organization science and a demonstrated record of research in the field.
Additional qualifications include the following:
• Dedication to and enthusiasm for the journal
• Significant editorial experience
• A vision of the role of scholarly publications in the electronic age
• Commitment to the workload involved
• Ability to manage the editorial process effectively and efficiently
• INFORMS membership, or willingness to join INFORMS if selected for
the position.

Committee (Carnegie Mellon University), Wanda Orlikowski (Massachusetts

Zenger (Washington University in St. Louis).
