    University College Dublin invites applications for the position of Professor
    of Innovation in the Management Subject Area. More specifically, we are
    seeking candidates who can offer leadership in firm-level or sub-firm level
    Innovation.

    Faculty members will be available to informally discuss these positions at
    the forthcoming Academy of Management Meeting in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

    The management subject area at UCD is the largest of the subject areas in
    the School of Business, with approximately 28 academic faculty. The
    principal areas of academic specialty lie in the core business areas of
    entrepreneurship and innovation, international business, organisational
    behaviour, strategy, supply chain management, and technology management.
    Faculty have published in a wide number of journals including: Academy  of
    Management Journal, Academy of Management Learning and Education, Strategic
    Management Journal, Harvard Business Review, Human Relations, MIT Sloan
    Management Review, Family Business Review, Journal of International Business
    Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of

    The appointee will be a member of the Management Subject Area within the UCD
    School of Business. The appointee should be an internationally recognised
    specialist in the field of Innovation and Innovation Management, whilst also
    being able to play a leadership role within the context of the broader
    Subject Area and the School as a whole.

    The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development
    of the School’s profile in teaching, research and service in Innovation and
    Innovation Management , particularly at the firm and/or sub-firm levels of
    analysis. The successful applicant will offer leadership in the following
    areas:

    Research: The School places a strong emphasis on research leading to
    publication in international, peer-reviewed academic journals.

    Teaching and Learning: The Management Subject Area is a the largest
    contributor to the Business School’s undergraduate, postgraduate and
    executive education programmes. This includes the BComm, the MBA, MSc and
    PhD programmes.  

    Strategic Planning: In conjunction with the College Principal and Dean of
    the School of Business, the successful applicant will be involved in the
    formulation and implementation of policies to develop the academic and
    strategic potential of the School.

    Administration: Academic staff assume administrative and managerial duties
    as appropriate to the role, and should play an active part in fostering
    collegiality within the School.
