Description:
This workshop seeks to address two related questions: ?how do people
learn?? and ?what can we do to improve the learning of our undergraduate,
graduate, and executive students?? Three highly experienced speakers?two
from academia and one from consulting?will share their perspectives on the
fundamental issues of pedagogy. These speakers are uniquely qualified to
deliver perspectives that are grounded in contemporary research on
learning, both in the classroom and in professional service organizations.
The implications for classroom teaching and structuring of learning
opportunities outside the classroom will be explored. Participants in the
workshop should expect to develop a deeper understanding of the
determinants of teaching effectiveness, and they should also walk away
with a handful of concrete suggestions for how to improve learning in
their own classrooms.
No pre-registration required.
