    Job Description

    The Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City invites applications and nominations for the position of Chair, Department of Management. The Chair is responsible for leading the research and instructional programs of the department, ensuring faculty are supported and developed in line with department and School strategies, and perform administrative and budgetary decisions. We seek a creative individual who will successfully perform both internal and external duties, including program growth and a continued strengthening of ties with alumni and the Kansas City accounting/business community.


    Minimum Qualifications

    The successful candidate should have an ability to lead an innovative, diverse department by implementing a departmental strategy aligned with the mission and vision of the Bloch School. A major goal of the department is to enhance scholarly and research activities while maintaining teaching excellence. Candidates should possess:

    · A scholarly record in any management-related field to warrant a tenured appointment at the rank of Full or Associate Professor

    · An earned doctorate from a top business school

    · An ability to operate effectively in a participative, collegial and creative environment

    Previous administrative experience and/or leadership positions are highly desirable.


    Full Time/Part Time

    This is a full time tenured track position.
