Dear colleagues ,
Most innovations that are subject to public debate are expected to perform better and be priced higher than traditional products in a given market. However, numerous innovations exist that are priced lower than previous generations and, therefore, have some performance limitations. Research on low-cost innovations has yielded many competing theories and models.
We are currently preparing a review on low-cost innovation theories. So far we have generated a list containing 13 theories and concepts. Among them are the theory of disruptive innovation, the low-end encroachment framework, reverse innovation, frugal innovation and many others. In order to include all relevant theories and concepts that relate to low-cost innovation, we kindly ask you to fill out the one-page survey, rate existing theories and add new terms.

We look forward to receiving your opinions!
