We're gearing up for an exciting strategy-as-practice track at the upcoming EGOS conference taking place in Montreal July 4-6, 2013:
"Strategizing Activity and Practice: Connecting the material to the social"
We hope you can join us!
In addition to our usual activities, including roundtable discussions and presentations of each other's work, our track will also feature two additional activities aimed at helping us collectively explore the research implications of "connecting the material to the social" in strategy research. To this end we've organized an OPENING PANEL with special guests Francois Cooren (University of Montréal), Paul Leonardi (Northwestern University) and Davide Ravasi (Bocconi University), each of whom will discuss how they view topical themes and issues in materiality research. We will also have a CLOSING PANEL, where the editors of the upcoming British Journal of Management special issue on "Strategizing Material and Materializing Strategy" (deadline for submissions January 30) will discuss key challenges in bringing materiality into strategy research.

With the EGOS colloquium and the Montreal Jazz Festival taking place at the same time, where else can you want to be early July 2013?
