Call for Chapter Proposals : Islamic Management
Introduction:
Every culture has along time developed specific business systems ,processes and procedures for their business operations, whether western (e.g.;Protestant ethic of capitalism),eastern (e.g.;japanese management&shintoism).In order to circumbscribe the full scope of Islam, we should identify its "precepts" and translate them into operational guidelines. Translation Islamic economic philosophy into a contribution to modern managerial theories is the objective of the book.
Overall Objective of the Book:
The objective of the book will be to present an "Islamic version" of various managerial functions from a descriptive and normative perspective. The book will introduce Islamic alternatives to conventional business management (in terms of business philosophy, theories, tools and techniques).

Submission Procedure:
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before March 1 , 2012, a 2-3 page chapter proposal clearly explaining the mission and concerns of the proposed chapter. Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by March 15th, 2012 about the status of their proposals . Full chapters are expected to be submitted by June 30th, 2012. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

- Book chapter proposals received: February 28th
- Notification of accepted chapter proposals: March 15th
- Receipt of full book chapters: June 30th
- Review book chapters and feedback: August 15th
