Tenured Associate or Full Professor in Supply Chain Management

The Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, at the University of
Pittsburgh, invites applications for an anticipated tenured position at
the Associate or Full Professor level, beginning Fall 2012 (subject to
budgetary approval). Candidates must have a PhD and strong evidence of
established high quality research and teaching in supply chain management.
In particular, we seek individuals who have expertise in issues related to
managing the extended enterprise, in order to coordinate supply and demand
chains for sustainable value. In addition, candidates must provide
leadership that bridges theory with practice to tackle emerging problems
faced by firms with a global footprint. Expertise in data analytics, to
identify strategies and tactics at the operational level, and an aptitude
to work at the interface of operations with other functional areas, such
as OR, marketing, accounting, and information systems, is highly desired.
Some examples of topical areas that would be of interest for joint
research with our current faculty are: Emerging Health Care Value Chains,
Energy demand and supply management, information-driven financial and
marketing services, lean and green supply chain management, and
performance and cost effectiveness of supply chains. We expect candidates
to build strong ties with industry, and identify and spearhead research
thrusts to enhance Katz’s strong interdisciplinary focus.

Applications must be submitted electronically to
doitfacultysearch@katz.pitt.edu. Materials submitted must include a cover
letter, a curriculum vitae detailing educational background, research and
work experience, and complete contact information for three references. To
ensure full consideration, applications must be received by January 15,
    2012.

Representatives of the Katz Graduate School of Business will be present at
both the INFORMS and the International Conference on IS (ICIS)
conferences. Please indicate in your cover letter if you plan to attend
either one or any other conferences.

The University of Pittsburgh is an Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity

academia are especially encouraged to apply.
