Message from Blake Ashforth, Chair, AOM Career Achievement Awards
Committee:
I am writing you with an important request for your participation in
the Academy of Management Awards program. As a primarily volunteer
organization, it’s important to provide opportunities for members to
gain recognition for their outstanding contributions to the Academy and
field of Management. I’m serving as the Chair of the AOM Career
Achievement Awards Committee for 2010-2011. As you may know, this
committee is responsible for reviewing nominations and selecting
recipients for the following awards:
Distinguished Educator Award
Distinguished Scholar Practitioner Award
Distinguished Service Award
Scholarly Contributions to Management Award
Please consider nominating deserving colleagues. The call for
nominations and past recipients are listed on the Academy of Management
website. Please go to:

for descriptions of awards and lists of past recipients. Please spread
the word and recognize a deserving colleague by nominating him or her
for one of these Distinguished Awards. The deadline is April 1, 2011.
I greatly appreciate your help in this. Recognizing our deserving
colleagues is a terrific way for us to appreciate their career
achievements and set the bar for our younger colleagues. If I can
