We are pleased to invite you to our professional development workshop on "Case Teaching in a Changing Environment: Teaching with Live Cases", sponsored by the BPS Division. This PDW is part of the BPS Teaching Committee's initiatives to promote pedagogical effectiveness in the strategy field and follows in the footsteps of highly successful PDWs organized in past years by the BPS division.
It features innovative approaches to teaching strategy that enhance or go beyond the traditional case method. The primary objectives of this PDW are twofold. First, it will introduce six different approaches to teaching strategy concepts using live cases. Second, it will provide participants with the opportunity to engage in an interactive roundtable discussion with the presenters and organizers to learn how to integrate these approaches into their own courses.
We will begin the PDW with initial presentations by panelists. The presentations will cover the following topics (1) Cases Ripped from the Headlines, (2) Reality Show Exercise, (3) Live Case Competitions, (4) Multi-disciplinary action learning projects, (5) Entrepreneurship and Strategy, and (6) Live cases at leading global firms. This will be followed by breakout roundtable conversations with PDW participants.
