Tenure-Track Position in Business Strategy
The <st2:place w:st="on"><st2:placetype w:st="on">University</st2:placetype> of <st2:placename w:st="on">Windsor</st2:placename></st2:place> invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Odette School of Business
in the area of Business Strategy, at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2006. This
position is subject to final budgetary approval.
A medium-sized university with a solid reputation in teaching and research, the <st2:place w:st="on"><st2:placetype w:st="on">University</st2:placetype> of <st2:placename w:st="on">Windsor</st2:placename></st2:place>

university and its border location provides unique cultural, recreational, and educational opportunities for
faculty and students.
The Odette School of Business offers four-year business programs leading to a Bachelor or Commerce,
and a two-year program leading to a Bachelor of Commerce for University Graduates. It also offers a fulltime
co-op MBA, an MBA for Managers and Professionals, and a full-time integrated MBA/LLB. There are
approximately 1629 full-time and 473 part-time undergraduate students, and 200 MBA students. The
<st2:place w:st="on"><st2:placename w:st="on">Business</st2:placename> <st2:placetype w:st="on">School</st2:placetype></st2:place> has strong contacts with business and other academic institutions. There are currently
48 full-time faculty and the School is looking forward to a period of growth with the accompanying

The strategy group currently includes six research-active, tenured or tenure-track colleagues, including
the <st1:givenname w:st="on">Dean</st1:givenname> of the <st2:place w:st="on"><st2:placename w:st="on">Business</st2:placename> <st2:placetype w:st="on">School</st2:placetype></st2:place>, and the Odette Research Chair, and is highly productive in achieving
recognized research and teaching outcomes. Strategy faculty members have opportunities to teach in our
<st2:personname w:st="on"><st1:givenname w:st="on">B.</st1:givenname> <st1:middlename w:st="on">Comm.</st1:middlename></st2:personname>, M.B.A., Masters in Management, which has been approved as a new program, and MBA for
Managers and Professionals.
In order to succeed, our newest colleague will have a Ph.D. (or be near completion) in Strategic
Management or a relevant business discipline. She/he will be able to effectively teach the capstone
undergraduate strategy course as well as advanced electives in an area of interest, demonstrate the
ability to publish in quality refereed journals in management and strategy, and, because of prior practical
and/or scholarly experience, be comfortable making applications of his or her research and teaching to
the broader business community. We would be particularly interested in candidates who plan to apply
their efforts to one of the <st2:place w:st="on"><st2:placetype w:st="on">University</st2:placetype> of <st2:placename w:st="on">Windsor</st2:placename></st2:place> and Odette School of Business's research strengths in
Asia-Pacific business, the automotive industry, corporate governance/social issues in management, or
multi-modal supply chains.
