Assistant/Associate Professor of Strategic Management
The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Strategic Management beginning in Fall 2010. Appointment rank will be at Assistant or Associate Professor level and will depend upon the experience of candidate selected. Applicants with experience and time in rank are encouraged to apply.
The position requires applicants to have a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Management with an emphasis in Strategic Management. Applicants who are A.B.D. with a plan to complete by December 2010 will also be considered. Primary teaching responsibilities will include working as part of a collaborative team to deliver our capstone undergraduate Strategic Management course with opportunities to develop and deliver other parts of our Management curriculum and to teach at the MBA level. Teaching load is nine hours per semester. Research that results in the publication of peer reviewed journal articles, with a minimum of two articles in a five-year period, is required. The position also includes academic advising. A commitment to fostering academic excellence in a student centered environment is expected. Candidates should have the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, the department, college, campus, community, and professional organizations in service activities.

The college offers a strong undergraduate business program and a growing MBA program. Approximately 2500 undergraduate students are enrolled in the college's programs. There are currently 39 full-time faculty members in six academic disciplines: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management, Marketing, and Resort Tourism.
