On behalf of Joe Cheng: jlcheng@illinois.edu

You are cordially invited to attend an exciting UI-HKU Global Business
Forum, "Strategic Positioning in a New World Economic Order: Asia-Pacific
and Global Competitiveness," that will be held at the Hong Kong Convention
Center in Hong Kong SAR on Feb. 12, 2009.

The Forum, co-hosted by the University of Illinois (UI) and the University
of Hong Kong (HKU), will present an international group of expert speakers
from academia, industry, and government. We are planning for about 200
attendees, including many senior executives and government officials from
Hong Kong, China, and the region. Please see the attached announcement for
additional information on speakers and registration.

On the following day (Feb 13), we will have a follow-up research workshop
for (mostly) the academics to examine implications of the emerging new world
economic order for future research and theory in international business and
management. If you are interested in attending, please pre-register with
Terri Chan (email: terrichan@business.hku.hk) before Feb. 8, 2009.
Admission is free for the research workshop.

We look forward to seeing many of you at both events.

    Thanks and regards,

    Joe
