    VISITING PROFESSOR / NON-TENURE TRACK PROFESSOR POSITION IN STRATEGY

    The position is located at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. The research focus of the position is strategic management.

    This maximum two-year fixed-term position is open to professor level scholars who have a track record of excellence in research, teaching and outreach activities in the area of strategic management. The teaching load in this position is to be negotiated, but is planned to include about one course per semester and supervision of Master's theses as well as contributing to the doctoral program and other research, teaching, and outreach activities. The position is to be filled from the beginning of January 2012, but also an earlier starting date is possible. The maximum duration of this position is two years, but can also be shorter depending on the preferences and opportunities (e.g. a sabbatical) of the selected candidate.

    The applicants should be academically qualified (holding a PhD degree), display a track record of publications in top-tier international refereed journals, and have experience of teaching diverse groups in undergraduate and graduate programs (in English). Potential candidates are also encouraged to demonstrate experience-based knowledge of strategy work in organizations (e.g. through consulting and/or research), detail their involvement in international academic leadership, and management of research teams, as well as in applying and receiving research funding.

    The Institute of Strategy at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management consists of six professors and about 40 researchers, including PhD students. In terms of research output in international top journals the Institute of Strategy has in recent years been among the most productive strategy units in Europe. Active research at the Institute covers a broad set of topics including corporate strategy, corporate ventures, industry evolution, innovation management, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic renewal.     In addition to this visiting professor / non-tenure track position, the Institute of Strategy anticipates of opening new tenure-track positions in strategy and venturing in the near future.
