Dear BPS Members:
We invite you to attend the PDW "Do I have an endogeneity problem? And does it matter?" on Friday from 1:30-3:30 pm in the Boston Hynes Convention Center, Room 303.
What should you do when a referee says your paper has an "endogeneity problem" or a seminar participant asks how your empirical results are "identified"? In this professional development workshop, we take a fresh look at an old problem in the social sciences: determining causality. The workshop features management scholars from different disciplines discussing their views on the importance of causal inference in empirical research; recent methodological advances for dealing with endogeneity problems; and practical approaches for confronting skeptical editors and referees. The goal of the workshop is to promote greater cross-disciplinary consensus on how to handle these issues, which are pervasive in management research.
Participants, in alphabetical order:
Pierre Azoulay, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Alberto Galasso, University of Toronto

We hope to see you there!
