At the Faculty of Business and Economics the position of the
Chair (W3) of Business Management, especially Energy Economics
is to be filled as soon as possible.
The candidate will represent the discipline Energy Economics in research and teaching. His or her research will focus on the whole value chain from the production of primary energy to the energy distribution including aspects like energy efficiency and energy trade, as well as the management and controlling of energy systems. Furthermore, research and teaching activities in some other areas such as industrial economics, regulation or resource management are appreciated. The candidate will engage in the curriculum of bachelor, master and graduate modules of the Faculty of Business Management and Economics focussing on management aspects. The range of courses is also addressed to engineering students. An interest in the cooperation with external partners as well with internal partners such as within the main research of the University?s ?Water, Energy and Environment? programme as well as the Centre for Power Engineering of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is expected. Experi-ences in the academic self-administration and in raising third-party projects are desirable. The applicants have to fulfil the employment conditions of § 58 SächsHSG, the skeleton law of university affairs.
