    Sustainability, Ethics and Entrepreneurship (SEE) Conference

    Professional Development Workshop

    April 28-30, 2015 – Denver, Colorado

    The Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal (SEJ), in collaboration with the SEE Conference organizers, invites you to apply to attend the Professional Development Workshop (PDW) preceding the SEE Academic Research Conference.

     

    The PDW is designed to meet the needs of later stage doctoral students and those recently graduated beginning their careers as assistant professors.  The PDW will feature keynote addresses from senior scholars, panel discussions, and paper development sessions with mentors to assist young scholars in transforming their technically competent research into highly impactful manuscripts.

     

    2015 PDW featured speakers and mentors include:

    Tentative Schedule

    April 28   5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Opening reception, speeches & networking

     

    April 29   7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.   Breakfast followed by a full day of presentations, speakers,

                                                                 paper development sessions & networking opportunities.

                                                                 Dinner in downtown Denver at 6:15 p.m.

     

    April 30   8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.  Breakfast followed by speakers & networking opportunities

     

     

    Attendance and Application Information

    Attendance is limited to 24 participants, and PDW participants are also encouraged, but not required, to attend the Academic Research Conference (ARC).  Separate registration for the ARC is required.

     

    Due to the generosity of the Kauffman Foundation and other sponsors, there is no registration fee for the PDW or ARC for PDW attendees.  Meals, beverages, and shuttle service from the conference hotel to the University of Denver or a parking pass will also be provided.

     

    The SEE Conference offers grants of up to $500 for selected Ph.D. students and early-stage assistant professors.  Details on how to apply for grants will be sent with acceptance notifications.

     

    All individuals interested in applying to attend should send the following information to Sharon Clinebell, Professor at the University of Northern Colorado (Sharon.Clinebell@unco.edu):

    1.  A short (one page or less) biographical sketch, which can be distributed to all participants.

    2. A brief statement (one page or less) of your research and teaching interests.

    3. A working paper.

    4. A current curriculum vitae.
