2014 Dissertation Research Program
The Strategy Research Foundation (SRF) is calling for research proposals
associated with doctoral students’ dissertations in strategic management.
This program will provide financial support for early career researchers, as
well as offer opportunities to network with peers and senior scholars at a
variety of events open only to recipients of these grants.
The SRF will select up to fifteen SRF Dissertation Scholars to be awarded up
to $10,000 each. Grant recipients will receive the following:
*Financial support to help cover the costs of direct research and data
collection expenses (e.g., databases, surveys, interviews, related travel).
*Participation in the SRF Scholar Pre-Conference Workshops at the 2015 and
2016 SMS Annual International Conferences.
*An invitation to present their findings to-date at an SRF Dissertation
Panel at the 2016 SMS Annual International Conference.
*Registration fee waivers for the 2015 and 2016 SMS Annual International
Conferences.
*Funding to cover additional travel expenses for attending the 2015 and 2016
SMS Annual International Conferences may be included in the budget section
of a grant proposal.
Proposals should describe original research that contributes to the
improvement and further development of the theory and practice of strategic
management and that is required for the award of a doctoral degree.
The SRF website will open for submissions on June 1, 2014. The submission
deadline is July 31, 2014. Announcement of SRF Dissertation Scholars will be
made by the end of the year. Please visit
