PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Ph.D. in Strategic Management at the Isenberg School offers a sequence of strategy seminars in each semester of course work to equip students with current thinking and research in the field. These seminars address a variety of topics central to the discipline, such as competitive advantage, diversification, corporate governance, the innovation process, and strategic decision-making. To complement this knowledge, students take additional required courses in related fields such as organization studies, research methods, and industrial organization economics. The result is exceptional preparation for conducting path-breaking research. Students admitted to the program will receive a stipend and full tuition waiver.
FACULTY
The Isenberg faculty strives to create positive mentorship relationships with students and expects students to engage in collaborative research with faculty members to facilitate the well-rounded development of research and teaching skills. Their research has been published in top scholarly journals in the management field. They also serve on the editorial boards of quality academic journals, and play influential leadership roles in the various divisions of the Academy of Management.
